1 Feb 2007 International Polar Year 2007-2008 The International Polar Year (IPY) 2007-2008 will be an intense, internationally coordinated campaign of research that will initiate a new era in polar science. The Polar Year will actually run over two years from March 2007-March 2009, spaning two Arctic and two Antarctic summer research seasons.
Tweezy New Media developed a simple web site, supported by Antarctic Tasmania, to provide information on polar activities and events in Australia during IPY. The site features a built-on-the-fly event calendar that draws information from a database.
